Welcome to 3J Test Prep!

3J Test Prep is a tutoring business founded by Atlanta-based educators Jan LeCraw and Jeff Horner. We thoroughly enjoy working with students who desire to improve their standardized test scores.

Jan is a veteran teacher who began tutoring after successfully coaching two of her sons to perfect SAT Math scores.

Jeff, a veteran teacher and former SAT Essay Reader, has helped students improve both their SAT critical reading and writing scores. In addition, he has read AP European History exams for the College Board for the last 7 years and has been trained to write standardized test questions for private school admissions exams.

These two educators help students use common-sense strategies, provide guidance on the types of questions students typically miss, and give encouragement to test takers of all levels of ability.

Our current payment system only permits clients to pay for an hour of tutoring at a time. Depending on your individual needs, we may recommend multiple hours of test preparation to ensure a positive outcome on upcoming standardized tests.

We are able to initiate tutoring via Google Hangout or in person, as needed. Follow the hyperlink for information and instructions on setting up access to Google Hangout, if you are interested in tutoring through that platform. Google Hangout requires the use of a computer equipped with a video camera and should be installed prior to attending the video conference tutoring session.

Expanding Service

3J Test Prep is pleased to make two significant announcements!

First, we are pleased to explain our virtual tutoring. We can schedule online tutoring for students who have access to the internet and a web camera. Students with Gmail accounts should access Google Plus (at the upper left of a Google Account screen once you have signed into Gmail). Students without Gmail accounts will find them very easy to set up, once you have internet access. Once you have accessed and established your Google Plus account, we will be able to use Google's Hangout feature, which allows for text and video tutoring. By making our tutoring available via the internet, we hope to help more clients in more places.


Second, we are pleased to announce the expansion of the 3J Test Prep test and services. We would like to welcome Elizabeth, a former Spanish teacher. She has a background in teaching all levels of Spanish, K-12, and has an excellent record of preparing students for the AP Spanish Language Exam and SAT II Subject Test in Spanish. She has taught in both public and private schools, as well as provided tutoring for home school students. After taking some time to start a family, Elizabeth is eager to provide Spanish tutoring on a limited basis for interested students.
